How do I create content? (Step by step)

Important note before you start: Every page you create must always refer to ONE geographical location - which you identify by adding a marker on the map. If you have information relevant to several different places that you want to share, please publish different new pages (with each page specific to one place).

Publishing, step by step
1. Make sure you are logged in.
2. Click the link create.
3. Click the relevant link for the category of new page you want to create.
4. Choose the language of the new page and write the title of the page.
(RECOMMENDED: if the page is commercial in nature, use your business name in the title of your page; if the page is more informational then use the location name (e.g. Tuhkana rand), or alternatively a brief descriptive name (suitable for personal recommendations like "The Best Pizza in Saaremaa!"). The title of your page is added to the url and increases your exposure to search engines.)
5. Choose your "Vocabularies" settings.
(If you do not know the place name, select "?" and the site will categorize it for you later. If the place name is not listed, please tell us and we will add it.)

6. Put your text in the body field.
(Do NOT include your email address here - we provide a special link for site visitors to contact you. Re. links: You can link to your website. "www.example.com" will become a link when you save the page. Please link back to SaaremaaEstonia.com from your website. )
7. Upload images (optional).
8. On the map, add a marker to show the exact location of whatever your page is describing.
The zoom is on the left side of the map. Use click-and-drag to move the map. Left-click to create a marker, drag on the marker to move it. Ignore Latitude and Longitude - they will autocomplete when you click on the map to place a marker. Please place your markers as exactly as possible - use the zoom.
9. Click "Preview" to check your page is OK and then "Save".

At the same time that your page is saved, it is auto-translated into the site's other languages (using Google Translate). The translations are meant as draft only and are not suitable for professional use. We highly recommend that you use our translation services.
